Warehouse security cameras with 24 hour remote guarding

Dock doors, trailer yards, and long fence lines are difficult to patrol and expensive to guard. Remote guarding covers all of them at once, with a live agent watching every alert.

The risk

What we see on these properties most

Trailer and cargo theft

Yard tripwires and vehicle detection catch unscheduled tractors pulling loaded trailers.

Dock door breaches

Each roll-up door gets its own rule set, armed outside receiving hours.

Internal shrink and safety

Monitored staging and shipping areas give you documented footage for both loss and safety incidents.

Buyer guide

Why warehouses and distribution centers get hit

Warehouses concentrate high-value, easily resold goods behind long, poorly lit perimeters. A single trailer of consumer electronics, tools, copper, or pharmaceuticals is worth more than a year of security spend, and thieves know the yard is usually empty between the last outbound load and the first morning shift.

The physical layout works against you. Dock aprons sit below grade and out of sight from the road, trailer yards run hundreds of feet along a fence line, and employee lots, gates, and utility yards create several unwatched approaches. One guard cannot see all of them, and recorded-only cameras tell you what you lost after it is gone.

Most losses we see are not sophisticated. Someone cuts or climbs a fence, walks the yard to see whether anyone reacts, and comes back for a trailer, a catalytic converter, or a pallet the following night. That reconnaissance visit is the moment monitoring pays for itself: a live voice on the intruder during the walk-through usually ends the sequence before a theft ever happens.

Buyer guide

How monitored warehouse surveillance actually works

We connect to the cameras you already have. During onboarding we map your property and build detection zones around each roll-up door, gate, fence run, trailer row, and fuel or utility area, then attach rules to your real schedule so receiving hours never generate alerts.

Analytics classify what moves. Person and vehicle detection filters out wind, rain, headlights from the highway, and animals, so an alert that reaches a monitoring agent is worth their attention. When a rule trips, the agent sees the live feed immediately, not a clip minutes later.

If the activity is unauthorized, the agent speaks through your on-site speakers with specifics: the dock number, the vehicle, what the person is doing. That specificity is what makes intruders leave, because it proves someone is watching in real time. Refusal escalates to local police dispatch with a live description, and your on-call manager gets the event and footage the same night.

Buyer guide

Remote guarding vs. an on-site guard

The comparison most operations managers care about is cost per covered area. A guard is one person on one route; monitored cameras are simultaneous coverage of every zone you have wired, with recorded proof of each event.

How we monitor it

Deterrence rules tuned to your site

We are compatible with most existing IP cameras, so most properties start monitored surveillance without buying new hardware.

  • Dock, gate, and fence-line zones armed by shift
  • Vehicle classification for tractors, trailers, and box trucks
  • Live voice-down plus escalation to your on-call manager
  • Safety event review for forklift and dock incidents

Coverage checklist

What to cover first at a distribution center

  1. 01Every roll-up dock door, armed outside receiving hours
  2. 02Both ends of the trailer yard, with vehicle classification
  3. 03Truck entrance and exit gates, including the guard shack approach
  4. 04Fence lines along any adjacent vacant lot, wash, or rail spur
  5. 05Fuel island, battery charging area, and maintenance yard
  6. 06Employee parking and pedestrian gates for shift-change coverage
  7. 07Outbound staging lanes, for shrink and safety review

Questions

Common questions

Can you monitor multiple distribution centers?
Yes. Multi-site portfolios are monitored under one account with per-site rules and reporting.
Do you offer 24 hour monitoring?
Yes. Choose 12 hour overnight coverage or full 24 hour monitoring per camera.
How much does monitored warehouse surveillance cost?
Monitoring is $24.99 per camera per month. A typical warehouse covers dock doors, both gates, and the trailer yard with 10 to 16 cameras, so most facilities land between $249.90 and $399.84 per month.
Is remote guarding cheaper than a night security guard?
Yes, and by a wide margin. One unarmed overnight guard runs roughly $4,000 to $6,000 per month for a single set of eyes walking a route. Sixteen monitored cameras cost under $400 per month and watch every dock, gate, and fence line at the same time.
Do you work with our existing warehouse camera system?
In most cases, yes. We are compatible with most existing IP cameras and NVRs, including Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, Uniview, Hanwha, and Amcrest. We review a camera list and a few sample views before quoting so you know exactly which cameras qualify.
What happens when an alert comes in at 3 a.m.?
An agent opens the live view within seconds, confirms whether a person or vehicle is actually in the zone, issues a voice-down naming the location and behavior, and escalates to police dispatch and your on-call manager if the intruder stays.
