Active deterrence monitoring FAQ
What is active deterrence motion detection?
It is detection plus intervention. Camera analytics classify people and vehicles inside defined zones, then trigger a live operator response — voice-down over speakers, strobes, sirens, and dispatch — instead of quietly recording the event.
How is monitoring different from an alarm system?
An alarm reports that a sensor tripped. Monitored cameras let a human confirm what is actually happening, speak to the intruder, and give police a verified crime in progress with live description.
Should I choose 12-hour or 24-hour monitoring?
If your losses happen after close, 12-hour overnight coverage is usually enough. Sites with public access, high-value inventory, or safety exposure during business hours are better served by 24-hour monitoring.
Can you use my existing cameras?
In most cases yes. Modern IP cameras and NVRs with network access can typically be connected to our monitoring platform. We only recommend new cameras where coverage is genuinely missing.
How much does commercial camera monitoring cost?
Monitoring starts at $24.99 per camera, per month for 12-hour coverage. 24-hour coverage is quoted per site based on camera count and escalation requirements.
Do you monitor sites outside Nevada?
Yes. We are based in Las Vegas and monitor commercial properties nationwide, including multi-state portfolios standardized under one set of rules.
What happens after an incident?
You receive time-stamped clips and an event log you can hand to law enforcement, your insurer, or corporate risk management.
Will weather and animals cause false alarms?
Detection zones are tuned per camera and classify people and vehicles, which filters out most rain, wind, headlights, and animal activity before it reaches an operator.
